It feels odd giving something 4 stars for being made too well, but these seriously don’t need to be this heavy-duty. It only wipes water from a mirror but its really large and feels really solid. It’s not very heavy so it works well even when it’s fully extended, I just expected it to be more compact. If you want a solid mirror wiper that will last a long time it’s a good buy, but smaller ones will likely also last and be much easier to store in your car.

This squeegee works well for removing water from my truck’s side mirrors. After a rain, it can be difficult to see out the mirrors, which is a safety concern. Normal-size squeegees are too big to clear the water, so I had been using my hand. There are a couple of problems with that. Firstly, my hand smudges the glass and so doesn’t clear the mirror properly. Secondly, I can’t extend my arm far enough to reach the passenger side mirror. This tool fixes those problems. Not only is the squeegee small enough to fit the mirrors (I measured slightly over 2.5 inches wide), but it extends to a length that allows me to get the passenger mirror while sitting in the driver’s seat.
I measured the reach at about 38” (3.21 feet). The handle grip is around 4.5 inches. My scale shows the weight at 85 grams (3 oz). Unlike some telescoping items I’ve owned, this one is plenty strong and doesn’t bend even when at full length. That’s good quality.
The squeegee is not perfect. After a rain, I ran it across my windshield and it left streaks behind. But for the purpose of clearing water from side mirrors it gets the job done even if it takes a few swipes. Eventually, the squeegee will dull, and I didn’t see a mechanism to release it for a replacement. So, this item is disposable to begin with. That said, even when it becomes a dull squeegee it should do a fair job on a side mirror, and to me, that’s what matters.

I just drove through a terrible rainstorm. The kind where you can’t even see the lines in the road or the vehicles in front of you. When it’s even dangerous to pull over because you might get hit by someone following the glow of your tail lights. Well, a place I could see clearly was the film on my side mirror included in this kit. And then i squeegeed the mirror clean after I passed the storm and safely continued my day
