I have a few windows that have not be cleaned in 20 years due to being over 20’ above ground. I thought I would give this item a try. I have double glazed windows and did not know how thick they were so I thought the adjustable feature would help.
I only used water on the pads inside and outside. I follow the directions and placed the tether on my wrist. My windows are casement and I had to open them to reach around to place the outside cleaner. The magnets held on first try I gave the inside a bit of a push and the outside cleaner fell off and the tether did its job. The next try I turned the adjustment selector one notch and there was a loud thump and the magnets attracted a bit stronger I decided to give the adjustment one more turn and yet another thump. The attraction felt strong. I was able to move the inside cleaner and watch the outside follow along. I started at the top and zig zagged my way down the window. I pulled the inside cleaner away from the glass and grabbed the outside to bring inside. The adjustment for the magnet returned to the starting position automatically The cleaning pads were black with dirt. I rinsed the dirt away and did a second pass and the windows looked great.
I will store the cleaner in the box they were packaged in. The kit came with replacement rubber strips and scouring pads as well and the tabs to hold the pads in place. The cleaner is expensive but it did clean my windows just as well as me standing outside.
IMPORTANT: Be sure to keep the separator the cleaners ship with as the pads must not be placed together without it. The magnets are so strong they may cause damage to fingers if they get in the way between the pads.

It worked–kind of. We have double-paned windows that barely open (I guess it’s a safety issue, but it makes it impossible to clean them!) face the ocean, so lots of poop from gulls flying by. It got off the worst of the streaks, but left its own streaks. I even tried to rewet, then put on dry pads, but still streaky. The pads are constantly falling off when you remove the outside component, which is probably why they include so many replacement pads and the grommets that hold the pads in place. The suction is either too much or too little (Goldilocks!). You can only turn it up once the two pieces have been attached on the window and, as they say, you can’t dial it down. Once you detach from the window or, more likely, the outside component falls from the window, it automatically dials the suction down to 1. I dialed up to 3–4 was very, very difficult to move; 3 stayed put for about 3 half-passes on the window. Don’t waste your money. I’m going to try a robotic cleaner. My old iRobot worked for several years in another apartment and there are more robotic window cleaners now. We’ll see if they are any better.

I’m very happy that this was so easy to use and that it cleaned some bird poop off the outside of my window, which is on the 21st floor and only opens two inches at the bottom. The only tricky part was maneuvering my hand to get the outside cleaner into position on the outside of the window. I held the inside cleaner in place, turned the dial to 5, and we were off and running! I have double-paned glass and it was easy to move the whole thing to the dirty part of the window and it cleaned everything right off. Reverse process was easy.

I disliked & am disappointed with this window cleaner. It left streaks & dirt behind on my window. It fell off many times because the gage that supposed to hold the magnets together in the glass did not work. I should return this item for a refund.

This thing is freaking awesome! The magnet adjusts for the window thickness, it has a wrist tie in case you drop it, and once you get the hang of it the window cleaning chore is sooo simple. Almost fun! Works really good on my car window too just turn the magnet setting on 1
