Purchased this slicer in the large blue version, was a bit pricey and not exactly the style I was looking for, but it’ll do. Just wish it was a bit cheaper. The good: I didn’t know it had little suction cups on it so that was a nice surprise for using on my glass stove top, would also be good for polished stone. It’s pretty sturdy and has adjustable slicing width which is what I was looking for. The drawbacks: On the thickest slicing setting the julienne blades automatically come out if you want them or not. The brute force needed makes this not a good slicer for tomatoes. The softer the vegetable the more poorly it slices. On the thinnest settings, the slices will get jammed up a bit. But it worked well for paper thin sliced potatoes, pretty good for cucumbers, and onions. If you want only slices, your range does go from very thin, a millimeter or two, up to about 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch, above that it only will julienne. Blade is not removable which makes cleaning challenging but it does come with a little brush. I would think dishwasher cleaning might warp some of the components over time but the materials all do feel sturdy. I wouldn’t let food dry on it, I fill the sink and swish it clean in soapy water and hand wash.

For breakfast, I like to make oven potatoes, but I used to get frustrated for a few reasons:
1. My knife skills weren’t great.
2. As a result, my cuts were always uneven.
This meant that the cooking times for my potatoes were always uneven.
Some of my potatoes would come out undercooked and hard, while others came out wonderful and soft. If I left them in for a longer period of time for the bigger cuts to cook, the thin ones would get rubbery and a little dry.
I always had to take out the thin pieces before the thicker ones cooked, which meant that the temperature of the food would be uneven as well.
I can’t believe that after all these years, I have now decided to get a mandoline slicer. You can choose from a variety of settings and thicknesses; I always keep it between 2-3 (which, yes, you can put it between numbers to give it more customizability), and I haven’t had issues with uneven cooking for my potatoes since then.
Now, I am able to make oven potatoes every single day for breakfast (I’m pregnant, so I’m always craving them now), and it’s been such a breeze chopping them. I don’t struggle, it isn’t hard to cut, and it’s very simple to assemble and take apart.
It comes with a brush to clean the blade as well, which is nice. The best part is that you don’t have to worry about accidentally cutting your fingers like with other mandolines that involve you moving the potato manually to get a cut.
There’s a suction at the bottom of the mandoline to keep it in place so it doesn’t slip and slide everywhere, and it flattens for easy storage.
I don’t know what else I can say to convince you to get this product other than it’s great. I wish I would have gotten it sooner; it would have saved me a lot of hassle trying to properly cut thinly sliced potatoes without accidentally making them see-through or thick on one side of the slice and thin on the other. :’)

I was in the market for a commercial vegetable slicer (am a home cook but like to buy the best quality) and was looking at a Robot Coupe that was $2,000. Granted it would slice large amounts of produce in seconds, but it would also take up a lot of counter space and take much longer to clean. I didn’t have high hopes for this mandolin because of the price, but wow was I surprised! The quality of this product is excellent and potatoes and other assorted produce slice evenly in seconds! The cleanup is quick and the safety guard is excellent. That being said, I took a slice out of a finger when I took it apart to clean and didn’t pay close attention. The safety guard when using it is excellent, but make sure you do not touch the blade when cleaning. A brush is included and I purchased a safety glove for future use. I am so excited with how compact this slicer is when folded, that I have packed one in a small corner of my suitcase for travel (I eat primarily raw, plant-based, so I frequent grocery stores often and will use this daily). This is a game changer in my kitchen and it stands proudly on my countertop.

If you missed someone for Christmas giving, send them one of these if they like to cook. Very easy to use -SAFELY – easy to assemble and clean after use. Follow the instructions and understand what foods should not be chopped with this device. It is perfect for fries, carrots, cukes, squash etc. Highly recommend.

This is a good product. It works as advertised, but a bit hard to clean. Takes up a lot of space to store it. I would buy it again.

Haven’t used it yet, but Ican say its made very well. Can’t wait to try it.
Update: Haven’t used it yet plan on using it this week. I washed it and I was very impressed w/ the whole unit. comes together very easily, it folds very nicely and its very sturdy.

When I ordered this I had already been through so many mandolins . This is amazing ! I love the fact that my fingers are never near the blade and it is so easy to use. I plan on picking a couple of more up as Christmas gifts

This works great and easy to use for slicing different vegetables at different thicknesses and dicing. I wouldn’t even try it with sweet potato’s because they are a lot harder. It has a larger opening and chute than my food processor which makes it nice for doing regular potato’s.

It gets a little confusing but this model from Supmakin is the larger and newer of the slicers.
It has a bin big enough that allows you to cut a potato lengthwise for fries.
The cutting mechanism is removable to allow you to deep clean it.

Does great job of making thin slices. Also used to cut jicama sticks. I have very little strength in my wrist, this product is easy to use.

it slices and dices but boy do you make a big mess with it. I haven’t had any trouble with cutting stuff but getting the right settings can be a bit of an annoyance

This is an absolute joy to use. Quick, efficient, and super easy to clean and put away.

This slicer is remarkably stable and smooth to operate. A brief glance through the excellent user guide was all that was needed to slice the first test carrot dish for supper. It’s a fairly large appliance so check out the dimensions, however the safety advantage over my old, horizontal, open blade mandolin is what sold me on this new form. It might not appeal to those of you who own excellent, sharp knives and great knife handling skills.

I recently changed my diet to include more fruits and vegetables. This mandoline allows me to quickly prepare food.
I like the way this mandolin works and its adjustments are simple. However, it is not necessarily easy to clean. I tend to put this mandoline to the side and use traditional knives unless I need to prep a lot of vegetables. Cleanup is just a bit too involved.
Regardless, this mandoline is easy to use and makes excellent cuts.

I hesitated buying this for 3 months. Then I just decided to throw caution to the wind and ordered it. I am soooo happy that I bought it. At first I didn’t use it because I wasn’t doing a lot of cooking. But the last couple of days I have used it quite a bit and I LOVE it. It can do so much easily and is easy to clean. I haven’t used all of the features yet but I zam looking forward to “playing” with it more. It is well worth the money spent!
