I never believed that it would be ok to just glue this thing to the wall — and for drywall they clearly say it is not. But the installation bolts they provide seem like they are for drilling into concrete, cinder block, or brick, maybe? Not for drywall, either. (See attached photos of installation instructions).
That was ok for me. I did what I had always planned to do: I used a stud finder to locate the studs behind my drywall. I cut a little square of 1/2’ thick birch I had from a project, just the size to fit behind the part of the rack that attaches to the wall. I pre-drilled 4 holes in that, then used long, self-drilling screws to go through that into the drywall and, more importantly, into the studs, securing the birch block to the studs. Then I pre-drilled holes for screws to go in the 4 mounting holes on the rack, and screwed the rack into the little square of birch.
It took a little more effort than gluing it up, to be sure! And some supplies I already had on hand. But in the end I got a nice secure mounting, and I think I will be pleased with the functionality of the rack.

Loving the rack now that I finally got it up. Heavy duty and large. Love all the swivel hooks and the back and forth hinged arm. Installation instructions could have been better. I finally realized one side was If you want to glue it up and one side is if you want to screw it up. I think the plate is used if you glue it and the screw caps are if you screw it. The anchors got stripped when I tried to screw into them. Also the caps would not stay in. It’s like they weren’t fit properly for the holes. I ended up just glueing the caps in. But i do like the rack and I think it will be very functional.

I bought this to replace a different one I purchased previously that broke. Immediately out of the box, I knew this would be perfect. My husband hung it in just a few minutes (after putting it off for weeks,,, ladies, you know what I mean amirite?). Anyway,,,, he hung it high bc you walk through my laundry room to get to a bathroom or for a way outside, so if it’s extended, you can still walk under it but I can still reach the little hanger loops easily. This thing is so sturdy and far exceeds the quality of the broken thing it replaced. You can extend a little or a lot and it’s still very sturdy and not at all flimsy. I HIGHLY recommend. It’s awesome.

To begin with, installation was a breeze. All the required hardware was included, and the kit came with crisp and straightforward instructions. Even though I’m not very handy, the simple installation procedure allowed me to hang it on my wall in less than 30 minutes.
I was astounded by the drying rack’s durability as soon as it was set up. Being able to handle wet clothes requires something that feels sturdy and well-made, which this item definitely does. Its ability to hold a lot of clothing without bending or wobbling is wonderful.

YESSSS!!!! These things are AMAZING!! Wow!! Highly impressed housewife here! I was always junking up our hallway and foyer with all my wet clothes (I never dry ANY of MY clothes in dryer! Product was pretty easy to figure out. Seems pretty sturdy for hanging several pieces of jeans I’d shirts on them. The drywall anchors that came with it did not work. We had to put a 2×4 to handle the weight of just the rack without any clothes

Product is great over all. The pull out bar on the end is kinda flimsy and the screw covers don’t go on.
Screwed it into a stud since some of the reviews said it ripped out of the wall.
Could be a little better but definitely like it!

Can’t recommend this. I like the design how it all folds mostly flat and doesn’t take up much space when folded down to store away. That was a feature we were looking for as we wanting something for hanging snow jackets and pants and wet boots on by the wood stove to dry.
However, it is very cheap quality parts and the shelves and bars are constantly falling down and out and we aren’t overloading the shelves (only putting like 1 jacket on a full shelf.
Nothing really screws together, all parts push together and thus they just don’t stay put when you actually put stuff on the shelves. Eventually, I’ll see about glueing the bars in or figuring something out to hold them more secure.

Pros:
1) Big and can hold a lot of clothes. Depending on how you use it and how compacted you tend to lay your clothes out to dry, this has an impressive amount of space for drying clothes. I say this comparing to typical accordion style folding drying racks.
2) This particular style has legs that can fold so the entire assembly is relatively flat. This was specifically what I wanted as others had non-folding legs which I knew my family was going to trop all over when stored somewhere.
Con:
1) Not the most sturdy when folded and stored. It could tip over if not leaning against a wall or if someone brushes against it.
2) The metal bars that make up the rack has very thin paint. This is important because you do have to take care when drying clothes with metal zippers and such. You want to take care not to scratch the coating as I’m sure rust will be an issue if the coating is damaged. I think this will be true of all drying racks of this style.
If put together right, this is sturdy enough for most wet clothes. I’ve filled it up with hoodies and sweatshirts without a problem. For the price, this is a very good value.

Love that it’s metal ( not cheap plastic) and very sturdy. My husband farms so I wash a lot of heavy denim items etc. This replaced a cumbersome small bar hanging from a cabinet. This holds twice as much and when I’m done it folds right up next to my wall. Love it!

Love the product, very sturdy, but the hardware they send is junk, soon as I use my screw gun the screw stripped out immediately. Lousy quality screws, but the product is great. I recommend buying it.
