I ordered the LCyindu Butyl Waterproof Tape to have on hand in case of an emergency and shortly after I received it, we had a leak in our unfinished basement window due to torrential rainstorm. After drying the source of the leak between the cinderblocks and the window frame, we applied this repair tape and the water immediately stopped seeping in. Three weeks later, the tape is still holding a seal and keeping the basement dry.
The roll of tape has a protective backing that when peeled off, exposes the butyl rubber which should be applied to your project immediately because it is very sticky. Butyl rubber is a synthetic rubber that has the advantages of being odorless, pliable at high and low temperatures, and resistant to water, sun, and extreme weather conditions. It lends itself to many household repair jobs.
I recommend using a box cutter or an inexpensive pair of scissors when cutting the tape because it will leave a very sticky residue on them. After applying the tape, we used a roller to apply pressure and ensure a better bond to the wall. I was very impressed at how well the tape bonded to the cinder block.
I will make sure to keep a roll of this butyl waterproof tape in the toolbox because it is the best product I have used to date for a water leak repair.

This tape roll is thick, large, heavy and so impressive. It sticks like it is never going to peel off so make sure you stick it right the first time or you’ll regret the effort it would take to remove it. This is one heck of a product and I really think it delivers what it advertises to be doing!

We needed to seal a rv leak and this one did the job. Not only did the job but did it fast and easy. They grip is super strong and was very surprised but happy it worked.
Will work on multiple items and once down you can forget about the leak.
Great quality from the outside to the underside glue down.

I used this to seal the seams on our lanai roof gaps between boards. It has worked flawlessly, my only complaint is that direct exposure to the sun in Florida has made some of the exterior material to peel away. It is still stuck to the roof and gaps, but it seems that the top layer that looks like fish scales is coming off. I noticed it in my gutters, and then looked at the tape itself when I was using my blower to clean out leaves in the gutter. I blew over some of the tape and I saw it peel away form the tape and went into the yard. I dont think it hurts or protects the roof any less, just looks ugly to have all this fishy scale things in the yard.
