I felt improvement in my hips and back in 2 days! I’ve done the 10 exercises in sequence in the morning for 7 days in a row – and my hips are finally “unlocking”. I notice the difference when I get up after sitting, when I first get out of bed, and when I’m walking. I had been reading about the hip flexors and psoas muscle and putting together stretches I found from other sources. I do sit a lot for my work so I knew my quads and glutes were part of the problem also. While the stretches I did felt good and brought some temporary relief, they weren’t actually correcting my problem and some days I actually felt worse. I appreciate how Rick goes in to detail describing the the science of our anatomy and physical dynamics – understanding why and how is important to me. I find it amazing that I was so unfamiliar with the Psoas muscle which really is one of the most important muscles in our body! I give the information, exercises, and written instructions 5 Stars. The reason for my overall 4 star rating is that the photos in my book were slightly muddy – not very sharp and clear and the DVD exercise demonstrations were helpful for understanding form and position but I the instructions were a bit too fast at first for me to pick up all the nuances. But those two points aside this has been an awesome investment in my health and I’ve been recommending it to friends and family – thank you!

This seller was awesome to work with when I had a problem with the book. They responded right away and over-delivered. They are fantastic and I really, really appreciated it.
I have done the exercises probably 6 or 7 times (and not even on consecutive days because I got sick) and I can already tell a difference. My chiropractor has been recommending this book and dvd as she has found it helpful for herself and her patients. I cannot do one or two of the exercises due to other issues in my body but this program is still working for me.
I have to be honest though, you can tell this isn’t a super polished, professional produced book and dvd. The pictures in the book are a little hard to see and comprehend. Watching the video will help. The video isn’t professionally produced either but gets the job done. And I say this with the greatest compassion for the exercise model (please know that I am not a hater and appreciate you doing this video so I can benefit) but I have to be honest and let you know that the video can be a little hard to watch. She looks like she would rather be eating cut glass than doing these exercises and that makes it hard to watch. I don’t feel an infectious, high-energy, positive vibe from the video which would make me want to watch it over and over and get on board with the program. But it doesn’t matter. You can watch it a handful or two times and you will know the routine and not need the guidance of the video any more.
If you are dealing with low back pain and/or hip pain I think you should try this program. For half the price (or less) of a visit to a chiropractor you may have the solution (or at least something the helps) in your hands. It doesn’t take very long to do the program — maybe 10 or 15 minutes. I have been doing it for even less time as I am starting with only one round of everything and I have still noticed benefits.

Time will tell if this tape (and book) will help loosen me up. I have done the exercises for 3 days and today I do feel a bit looser. I wish Rick Kaselj would have given modifications for some of the exercises. For myself, a full plank and then going into a side plank is not possible yet…I would think he would have a modification for that exercise. Also I agree with another reviewer who found it difficult to do because of the kneeling exercises. I kneel on an exercise mat which helps, but there’s another chance to make a modification. I did appreciate reading the book and learning more about the psoas muscle. Now I will try to remember to get up and stretch whenever I’ve been seated for too long….If there had been more modifications and tips on how to keep stretching the psoas during the day, I would have given this more stars

For several years I have had issues with hip & low back pain. I have a desk job & sit way too much during the day. I have done various other stretches over the years in an effort to alleviate the pain as well as many chiropractor visits. While those stretches & Dr. visits did help some I was looking for more relief. I decided to try “Unlock Your Hip Flexors” after reading several reviews. For the price, I thought it was worth a try. SO glad I did! I read through the book as well as watched the DVD. Trying to understand any kind of stretching or exercise with only written instructions is hard for me. Having the DVD was a really good guide to doing these stretches correctly. I will say that even though I am 60 years of age & about 80 pounds heavier than I should be, I was able to do most of the stretches. The only one I can’t do at all is the plank based stretch. I do have some trouble with the standing ones where I have to bend one leg back & hold it with my hand, but I am working on getting better at that. If you have knee trouble then you probably won’t be able to do some of these stretches & should seek an alternative program. It is stressed in the book & DVD that these stretches need to be done in a certain order to be effective. While I have only done 2 sessions of these stretches I have seen & felt an impressive difference in how my hips feels. Even the short commute to work (about 20 minutes) used to really bring on the hip pain when I would get out of my car. Now I can tolorate that very well. I move easier & more freely than I use to & with minimal to no pain. I look forward to continuing the stretches at least 2-3 times a week to see how this will affect me when I have to sit for longer car rides.
